People behind AVJM

The missions, values and goals of AVJM have been finalized by the cumulative effort of every individual who is in involved in its governance, management and operations. The following bodies are the key components of AVJM in India.


Suprabha Shree - President

Suprabha Shree is a veteran social worker. She has been active in the field of education for under-privileged children for over a decade now. As a dedicated and determined champion of this cause, she has served children in many states with great distinction. In her current role as the President of the Governing Board she is entrusted with the responsibility to manage the growth challenges and expansion strategy for AVJM, India.

Abhinandan Kumar - Vice – President

Abhinandan Kumar is deeply committed to the cause of universal education. An engineer by qualification, Abhinandan has worked across continents on various projects in some of the best and largest corporations in the world. He is a versatile individual who is immensely talented and adept in skills that range from playing the keyboards to cookery and pottery. In this critical role at AVJM, Abhinandan has made strategic contributions of great significance.

Amjad Khan - Treasurer

Amjad Khan is a self-made man who has seen the ill effects of illiteracy all through his growth years. A home improvement professional by occupation and a social servant by orientation, Amjad is playing a key role for AVJM. He is a dedicated individual who is immensely focused on bringing educational opportunities to children all over North India.

Tarun Khurana - Executive Member

Tarun Khurana is versatile software professional who has done some remarkable work for prestigious corporations. He has traveled widely and seen many non-profit projects make significant difference in their immediate and related environment. Tarun’s greatest strength is to find innovative and yet simple solutions for complicated problems. He draws his inspiration to serve social cause from his strong belief that children are the foundation of a bright future for every nation and an investment in their education is one of the best ways in which resources can be utilized.

Ashish Tripathi - Executive Member

Ashish holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Madan Mohan Malviya Engineering College Gorakhpur, India. He has participated in various Information Technology projects across nations. Ashish is an indomitable advocate of child education and believes in the need for the all-round development of children. He is passionate about AVJM's initiatives and projects.

Chandan Upadhyay - Executive Member

Chandan Upadhyay is a dedicated individual who cares for the welfare and educational progress of street children. An ardent believer in universal education and social equality, Mr. Upadhyay is a great supporter of the goals of AVJM. He lives and works in Bangalore.    


Abhiram Jaisheel - Regional Director - North Bihar

Abhiram Jaisheel is a dedicated promoter of social welfare. He is a writer and a poet and an advocate of social equality, universal education, protection and promotion of underprivileged. He has written features for many reputed Hindi magazine in India including Kadambini and Sarita. He was invited to recite his poems and writings in different stations of All India Radio. He has dedicated his life to the cause of child education. He has traveled all over India generating support for this noble mission. Committed, dedicated, determined and resolved, Abhiram has accomplished some remarkable objectives for AVJM.

 Nayan Tara Sharma - Regional Director - Jamshedpur

Nayan Tara Sharma is a teacher by profession and she has been an education professional for over two decades now. Nayan Tara has also spent several years volunteering with street children and helping these children get to schools. She is a highly regarded social worker in this region and she has been very active in generating public opnion towards creating educational opportunties for slum and street children.

Shuchi Vandana - Regional Director - New Delhi

Shuchi Vandana has been very active in creating education opportunities for under-privileged children in the Lajpat Nagar area in New Delhi. She feels very strongly about the plight of children and teenagers who migrate from small towns and villages to New Delhi. Shuchi has been continously striving to provide education to such children. Her focus, dedication and energy has been central to the operations of AVJM in New Delhi where she manages the education of over 400 children.


Thomas Massy - Regional Coordinator - UP West

Thomas Massy is an active member of AVJM team in West Uttar Pradesh. He has been very instrumental in identifying deserving children who are unable to attend schol due to financial constraints. His dedication to the cause of universal literacy motivates him to strive for and with the street and working children in villages of West U.P.

Anuradha Shubhkirty - Officer Manager – Accounting

Anuradha Shubhkirty is responsible for the day to day accounting and record keeping for AVJM. She has managed this responsibility for over two years now. Ms. Shubhkirty is deeply concerned about the academic future of street children and also participates in fund raising drives and awareness campaigns of AVJM in New Delhi and adjoining areas.
